What architects ask first

Will you work from our drawings?

Yes. Send elevations, a surface schedule or a dimensioned sketch. We return setting-out drawings with tile counts, cut pieces and border runs, usually within five working days.

What tolerance should we specify?

Zellige is hand-cut, so edges vary by 1/32 to 1/16 in. Specify a grout joint of 1/16 to 1/8 in. We put both in writing on every quote so the contractor prices the correct allowance.

How much overage should we order?

Order 10 to 15% overage from the same firing batch. Wood-fired kilns produce shade movement within a colour, and a top-up firing months later will not match.

Can you produce to a non-standard format?

Yes. Formats outside the standard card are made to order. Custom colour starts from 850 sq ft and custom geometry is drawn to your surface.
