Trust, verified
The certification is a checklist, not a badge
Buying craft from another continent is a trust problem. We solve it by putting our own team inside the workshops — and re-running the audit every year.
The five-point audit
What every workshop must pass
No workshop can quote through the platform without holding all five, current-year.
- A1Verified workshop & ownershipSite visit, registration papers, named master artisan.
- A2Production capacity checkRealistic MOQs and lead times, tested against past orders.
- A3Material traceabilityClay, wood, hides and dyes from documented origins.
- A4Fair-pay commitmentWorkshop rates we’ve reviewed, no hidden subcontracting.
- A5Export-grade packingCrating proven on prior international shipments.
Annual re-audit
Certification expires — on purpose
A certificate issued once and displayed forever is decoration. Ours is dated, and a workshop that was certified in 2023 must pass again to stay listed in 2024. Capacity changes, teams change, and a checklist that isn’t re-run stops being true.
When a workshop falls short, it isn’t delisted overnight — it gets a corrective window and a follow-up visit. Most pass. The ones that don’t are removed until they do. That is the entire mechanism, and it is why the badge means something.
