The piece
Each panel of this dome is drawn onto sheet brass by hand and pierced with a fine saw — four to six days of bench work per fixture. Lit, it throws the Seffarine quarter’s signature floral wheels across walls and ceiling; unlit, it reads as sculpture. The blend of convex and concave panels is what gives the dome its depth, and no laser process reproduces the slight saw-line variation that makes the shadow pattern feel alive.
Specified widely in our hospitality projects — most recently 96 units, UL-wired, for a 28-key boutique hotel in California.
