The piece

Tanned in the pits, stitched by hand

Vegetable-tanned in Moroccan tannery pits — chrome-free, dyed in open vats and hand-stitched with waxed thread. The leather darkens and burnishes with use, which is the feature, not a fault; specify pigmented finishes instead if colour must stay fixed for a retail line.

Flat-packed unstuffed, a container carries roughly three times as many poufs — the single biggest freight saving in the furniture range.
